GeneratePress is an awesome WordPress® theme with incredible flexibility. I was using it recently for a project I was working on and needed an extra widget area at the bottom of all web pages that had a different background from the regular footer widgets section. This need resulted in what I am calling the WP247 GeneratePress Pre-Footer Widgets plugin.
The WP247 GeneratePress Pre-Footer Widgets plugin for WordPress® adds an additional widget section to ther GeneratePress theme immediately before the footer section. It works just like the GeneratePress footer widgets and can be styled the same way as the GeneratePress footer widgets in the WordPress® Theme Customizer. In addition, if you have GeneratePress Premium installed, the WP247 GeneratePress Pre-Footer Widgets plugin will provide additional Customization options for the Pre-Footer section.
Like the GeneratePress Footer Widgets, the WP247 GeneratePress Pre-Footer Widgets Pre-Footer Widgets section can contain from 1 to 5 widgets. Here is an example of the Pre-Footer Widgets section. The area with the green background is the Pre-Footer Widgets section with 4 html widgets defined.
